Profile of Respondents
This section details the characteristics of respondents to the Graduating Student Survey including: FAA certificates or licenses, amount of money borrowed to graduate, membership to professional societies or organizations and ways graduates plan to use to keep in touch with ERAU.
Educational Plans
The Graduating Student Survey asked graduates if they plan on attending additional schooling after receiving their ERAU degree. If they do, questions were asked about the type of degree they were working toward, school attended, and degree program pursed.
Employment Plans
Graduates were asked about their employment status. In addition, graduates who were working were asked questions regarding the source of their current employment, hours employed, the number of years at their current position, field of work, status as a professional pilot, relation of job to ERAU coursework, annual salary, employer and job title.
Placement Rates
Graduates were given eight response choices to identify their current employment status which were used to determine an effective placement rate. The effective placement rate consists of the employment rate of the graduates plus the continuing education rate. It is based on only those who were eligible to be placed. Respondents who were neither seeking employment nor choosing to continue their education, for any reason, were deemed ineligible and excluded from the calculations. All graduates who were continuing their education were not necessarily working toward a degree or certificate.
College Experience
This section of the survey measured the graduates’ opinion of the Embry-Riddle experience. Questions included an overall rating of the University and ratings of academic advising.
Career Services
This section of the survey measured the graduates’ opinion of the Career Services Office experience.
General Skills
This section shows the ERAU preparation of general skills and the usefulness of these skills on the job.
Program Skills
This section shows the ERAU preparation of program specific skills and the usefulness of these skills on the job.
